Thank you for your visiting my blog “The COCO’s Handbook of Climbing Mountains.” I’m the writer of this blog, COCO.
I’m a Japanese woman. I live in a city of Kumamoto, which is in the middle of the island of Kyusyu in the south area of JAPAN. And I work as an administrator in a private high school. I’m 32 years old now.
I studied English in the university for 4 years, and lived in California, USA, for 10 months from 2008 to 2009. So I speak English a little bit.
I began climbing mountains in 2013. I and my mother had dreamed to climb Mt. Fuji which is the highest mountain in Japan. So, before we challenged Mt.Fuji, we climbed some mountains in Kyusyu to practice walking and climbing long distance. We made a successful ascent of Mt.Fuji in the summer of 2013, and these experiences made us to get into climbing mountains.
My favorite place of climbing is The Kuju Mountain Range. I really love feeling how the season is changing in Kuju. I’ve climbed mountains in Kuju so many times, but I never get tired of it because of the beautiful scenery.
And also, I sometimes go to climb the Japanese Alps or other mountains in Honsyu which is centered big island in Japan. I climbed these mountains so far:
I’d love people in the world to know about the mountains in Japan, especially in Kyusyu, and visit to climb and enjoy mountains in Japan. So I will post articles about Japanese mountains in English sometimes. That would be great and my pleasure if somebody get interested in one of my articles, and come to Japan someday!
Thank you for your visiting my blog again!
